    INSECT/ANIMAL INTERACTIONS:

    • The seeds are eaten by some birds, including the Wild Turkey, Greater Prairie Chicken, Bobwhite Quail, Mourning Dove, and Horned Lark.
    • Rarely eaten by mammals because of the toxic white latex in its foliage.
